Andrea M. Fahrenthold is the Principal of AMF Appraisal
Group, Inc., a diversified firm providing real estate valuation
and litigation support, with an emphasis on condemnation
and regulatory takings litigation.
With over 20 years of experience in property valuation, Ms.
Fahrenthold has a broad background in analyzing diverse and
complex properties. Other services provided include mortgage
lending valuation, lease audits, and property tax consulting.
Ms. Fahrenthold has appraised property in 26 states, and is one of a
few firms awarded a contract by the Comptroller of Public Accounts
(Property Tax Division) to perform analyses for the ratio study that is
a part of the calculation for statewide school funding in Texas.
The firm also has performed Appraisal Standards Reviews for the
Comptroller of Public Accounts (Property Tax Division) for various
appraisal districts in the state. This assignment involved a
comprehensive audit of virtually every aspect of an appraisal district,
including its mass valuation procedures.
Ms. Fahrenthold has qualified as an expert witness and has testified in
United States Federal Bankruptcy Court, as well as civil matters, and
numerous condemnation proceedings.
In addition to real estate appraisal and property tax consulting, Ms.
Fahrenthold has been active in the Appraisal Institute, previously
serving as President of the Houston Chapter, Chair of Region VIII
(Texas and New Mexico), National Board of Directors, National
Government Relations, and Vice Chair of the Narrative Exam
Subcommittee. She is an approved instructor with the Appraisal
Institute, and teaches Report Writing, an upper-level course designed
for individuals seeking the MAI designation.
